Analytic Solutions of some Generalized Burgers
Equations - An Overview

Abstract

Inspired by the simpler, exact analysis of Burgers equation, we give exact or asymptotic solutions of a class of generalized Burgers equations, subject to different initial conditions - pos- itive on a compact support, N-wave or periodic.

These solutions show excellent agreement with numerical results after certain initial time and often constitute intermediate asymptotics.
