Call for Late Breaking Abstracts
>> hot off the bench and straight from the bedside <<
The EAACI is now accepting late breaking abstracts for the
upcoming Annual Meeting 2007 in Göteborg. Late breaking abstract
submission provides an opportunity for individuals to submit
important research advance. A brief statement justifying why the
abstract is important or late breaking is a submission
requirement.
LATE BREAKING ABSTRACTS
What are late breaking abstracts?
Abstracts that describe important current research advances that
have not been submitted previously. Please note: Late breaking
abstracts are not a second chance to submit a study for the
second time in hope to be selected for an oral presentation.
Individuals listed as first authors of standard abstracts are
not prohibited from submitting late-breaking abstracts, provided
that the late breaking abstract describes a study different from
the previously submitted study. Individuals submitting a late
breaking abstract must indicate authors and co-authors that have
already submitted a standard abstract.
Selection of abstracts will be based on scientific quality and
novelty of research either in basic or clinical science. In
order to be considered for presentation at the EAACI Annual
Meeting 2007, late breaking abstracts must be submitted via this
website. The submission deadline for late breaking abstracts is
18 April 2007 at 12.00 CET. For more information, contact
Congrex at:
eaaci2007abstract@congrex.se
Only abstracts not published elsewhere or submitted for
presentation at another national and/or international meeting
will be considered for presentation.

DEADLINE 18 APRIL 2007 at 12.00 CET |
Abstracts received after this date will not be considered
REGISTRATION AND PAYMENT
The presenting author must register for the congress and pay the
registration when submitting the abstract, otherwise it will not
be reviewed. If the abstract is not accepted the registration
fee is refundable.
SUBMISSION GUIDELINES
Carefully read the guidelines in this announcement before
submitting your abstract. Abstracts can only be submitted
electronically through this web page.
Acknowledgement of receipt of your submission will be returned
to your e-mail address immediately upon submission. If you do
not receive the e-mail, your submission was not completed and
your abstract needs to be re-submitted.
Invited speakers are not supposed to submit abstracts to the
lectures they are invited for.
Abstracts must be written in English and the presentations must
be in English. Use maximum 2500 characters (approximately 350
words) including blank steps for the abstract text. The abstract
title and the author(s) or names of institutions are not to be
included in the 2500 characters.
In order to make the abstract as informative as possible, please
include a brief statement of the purpose of the study, the
method used, the result observed, and the conclusions based upon
the results. It is inadequate to state "The results will be
discussed" or "The data will be presented". You may subtitle the
paragraphs in bold format in the following order: Background,
Method, Results, and Conclusion.
The abstract title and body text should only include
pharmacopeia names printed in lower case. Trade names are not
allowed. Non-proprietary (generic) names of drugs, written in
lower case, are required at the first place a drug is mentioned.
References, credits or the authors' academic degrees or grant
support are not to be included in the abstract. Standard
abbreviations may be employed in the text. Place special or
unusual abbreviations in parentheses after the full wording at
the first time it appears in the body of the text.
Accepted abstracts selected by expert reviewers will be
presented in oral and poster discussion sessions. Authors should
indicate in the space provided the preferred method of
presentation. It is the author's responsibility to submit a
correct abstract. Any errors in spelling, grammar or scientific
fact will be reproduced as typed by the author. Please note that
each year a number of abstracts are rejected because they
contain no data or the English is unacceptable.
Changes to abstracts can only be accepted until the submission
deadline by using the Personal Page. You can access your
Personal Page by using your password included in the e-mail
received upon submission.
NOTIFICATION OF ACCEPTANCE
Notification of acceptance/rejection will be e-mailed end
April (contact Congrex if you have not received your
notification e-mail by the beginning of May). The
corresponding author will receive all correspondence
concerning the abstract. The corresponding author is
responsible for informing all authors of the status of the
abstract.
PUBLICATION OF ABSTRACTS
Accepted abstracts will be published in the Abstract Book in
Göteborg. Accepted abstracts will also be published on a CD-ROM
and/or the Internet.
