Welcome!

Dear Colleagues

On behalf of the International Education Council, it is our pleasure to invite you to Copenhagen, Denmark, for the 3th Scandinavian Medical Education Workshop on Molecular Targeted Therapy of Cancer

We are proud to announce that this workshop is co-organized by the European Society for Medical Oncology (ESMO). The International Education Initiative on Molecular Targeted Therapy of Cancer (MTTC) was founded in 2001 with the aim to develop content for high quality medical education for oncologists. In this 3th Scandinavian MTTC Workshop, a distinguished group of European oncology experts from different disciplines and expertise will be giving educational presentations on the basic mode of action and clinical application of various targeted therapies. In addition, cutting edge topic lectures have been added to the agenda to introduce issues which are extremely current and of high interest, and to allow for adequate discussion and interaction.

The objectives of this workshop are to understand the basics of signal transduction, immunotherapy and angiogenesis with regard to cancer therapy, to understand the benefit of targeted therapy of cancer, and to relate the latest developments in the fields of signal transduction, immunotherapy, antibody-based therapy and angiogenesis inhibition with regard to targeted cancer therapy.

This workshop is designed to foster extensive discussion of the presented data. In this respect, we would like to invite you to join us in Copenhagen and to contribute to the advancement of molecular targeted therapy of cancer in clinical practice.

Sincerely,

Håkan Mellstedt Per Pfeiffer
