The university hospital in Stavanger has been assigned
by NGF (Norsk Gastroenterologisk Forening) to arrange ”the XL Nordic Meeting of
Gastroenterology 2009”. We are very proud to have got this opportunity and we
will focus on arranging a meeting that will attract a large number of delegates
from the Nordic countries.
The scientific programme will be produced in close
cooperation between the university hospitals in Stavanger and Bergen. We will
focus on a programme that is interesting for all groups who are interested in
gastroenterological diseases (surgeons, medical doctors, radiologists,
oncologists, nurses, hospital management, industry and suppliers, etc)
The meeting will start with two post graduate courses and the main meeting will
include ”state-of-the-art” lectures with international lecturers, as well as
oral sessions, posters, training possibilities in procedures (hands on in
simulators) , video sessions and more.
We are very proud that the meeting will take place in Stavanger, being cultural

When in Stavanger, stay on and take the opportunity to discover the city and its
surroundings, e.g. Preikestolen, the most famous scenic attraction in Ryfylke,
and in all of Rogaland county. Such an excursion will be among the sight-seeing
tours we will offer the delegates to the meeting.
