Proceedings

Proceedings should be submitted to Congrex no later than 2 February, 2006.

Proceedings containing all papers presented orally or as posters will be available at the start of the Symposium.

Only papers according to the specified format can be accepted click here to see the specimen page. Papers delivered in an unsuitable format will be returned to the author. Please keep a photocopy of you paper in case of accident or production problems.

This document contains the information you need to prepare your manuscript for VALDOR 2006. Please prepare your electronic manuscript as a word document before you submit it on-line by entering your abstract with your login id and password on 2 February 2006 at the latest.

PAPER SIZE
The paper must not exceed 8 pages, including references and illustrations.

TYPE SIZE, PAGE AREA, LINE SPACING, COLOURS

  • Text and illustrations, including headings, should fill,
        but not be extend beyond an area of 120 x 190 mm

  • Please start with the text directly under the headlines,
        don't use a blank line in between. (except for the title headline)

  • Use a 10-point font size and a traditional typeface, e.g.
        Times New Roman, both for headings and text.

  • The text should be justified on both left and right margins,
        not ragged

  • There should be no page numbers typed

  • The proceedings book will be printed in black-and-white.
        We therefore kindly ask you to avoid pictures and
        illustrations with colours.

    HEADINGS
    Headings should be capitalised (i.e. all words, except prepositions and conjunctions with less that five letters should have a capital initial), and should with the exception of the title be aligned to the left. The font sizes should be:

    Title 16pt bold

    2nd level 12 pt bold

    3rd level 10 pt bold

    4th level 10pt italic

    Do not type a heading on a page unless there is space for at least two lines of text as well.

    FIGURE CAPTIONS
    Figures should be numbered: Figure 1, Figure 2 etc. The caption should be placed under the illustration and separated from it by one blank line.
